Concise Statistics of China’s Foreign Economic Cooperation from January to November in 2004

1, Foreign Contracted Projects
From January to November, China’s foreign contracted projects achieved a turnover of $14.48 billion, an increase of 28.8% from the same period last year. The value of new contracts reached $20.86 billion, 44.3% higher than the same period last year.

By the end of November 2004, China’s foreign contracted projects accumulatively realized a turnover of $ 111.038 billion, with the contracted value of $153.313 billion.

2,Labor Service Cooperation
From January to November, labor service cooperation accomplished a turnover of $3.15 billion, an increase of 9.8% from the same period last year. The value of new contracts reached $2.95 billion, 12% higher than the same period last year. The number of people sent abroad for labor service reached 210,000, up 17.3% than that of last year. At the end of November, the total of people staying abroad for labor service reached 532,000, with an increase of 24,000 than the same period last year.

By the end of November 2004, China’s labor service cooperation accumulatively realized a turnover of $30.22 billion, with the contracted value of $35.56 billion and the accumulative number of labor service personnel being 3,092,000.
